An Equity Approved Showcase

This is a powerful, true drama of six women who went to Vietnam: five nurses and a country western singer booked by an unscrupulous agent to entertain the troops. 006Jeaniene Green as STEELE.jpg

Jeaniene Green

Jeaniene Green is originally from Detroit, Michigan. She's a former high school teacher who taught English and Drama right here in the Bronx. Her favorite book to teach from was Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist. She was always in awe of the conversations in which she and her students engaged about the story. Their level of depth, discoveries, questions, involvement, and enthusiasm made her grateful to have shared this book with them. She is 100% sure her students would have been as equally engaged with Lauro's play. In her former drama classes, she loved watching her high school students as they played in their imaginations. Their enthusiasm resuscitated her own love for performing. She's genuinely happy to be back on the stage where like her former students she gets to play in her imagination, and she hopes that, like Santiago, the protagonist in The Alchemist, she is following her personal legend.
